The concept of developing school yard near to Hvalevskoe manor, Borisovo-Sudskoe, Vologda region, Russia. Speciality of this place is that near to the school there are several historical monuments of different centuries. 

Disheartening situation, which is so typical for most villages across the country: teenagers leave their native places and move to large cities for better life. This school could not provide them either  with suficcient education or even with leisure or sport facilities: large school yard has nothing interesting for them. 

Our suggestion is to use historical context of the territory for attracting tourists. New spaces for workshops and cafe at the former building of mews will create new working places and engage children to create something, which could be sold to visitors. New school facades also should become a new sight. 

New spaces are created for different children ages and purposes: primary school children have their own space with educational games; teenagers' club is formed by benches and pavillions, where they could seclude or hang out with their friends.
